Today’s itinerary

Check-in and ground experience

I leave from W Singapore about 2.5 hours before my flight, using the Grab app, the Uber of Southeast Asia.

I arrive about 1h45 before the flight and head to the Business class check-in counters.

IMG_5650

Surprisingly, and despite the need to go to a check-in counter, the line is completely empty and I am taken care of at the First class counters.

Without any verification, my boarding pass is given to me and I am immediately directed to the immigration passage.

IMG_5649

My passport rejected at the automatic machines, I go to a staffed counter and my passport is validated for the exit of the territory.

Location and welcome

The lounge is located on the mezzanine and is immediately accessible via escalators and a simple walkway.

Attendants greet passengers as they enter the lounge by scanning their boarding passes, and invite them to enter the lounge.

Lounge design

The design of the lounge is perfect. The spaces and furnishings are very nice, elegant yet contemporary.

Various spaces are available: slow (downstairs) or fast (high) dining areas are available near the buffets.

IMG_5676

Lounging areas with different types of chairs are available. On the other hand, no particular space to sleep for example.

Catering

The food and beverage offering when I visited was breakfast. Various Asian, European and American options are available around a buffet that also has a few cooking stations.

The offer of drinks is very complete, with soft and hard drinks at any time, but also hot drinks via quality machines.

I will choose a perfectly executed laksa soup which will be succulent, and the American option very good but served just warm.

Bottom line

An excellent lounge in which I will spend a good hour before going to the gate.
