Although we had access to the Al Safwa First Lounge as we were connecting from a First Class flight, we decided to visit the new Al Mourjan The Garden lounge, located in the new boarding concourse at Doha Hamad.
Location and Welcome
The lounge is located on a mezzanine level of the terminal, and access eligibility is checked before the elevators leading up to it.
Given how crowded it was, the welcome was only passable.
Design
The lounge is obviously very modern, airy, and beautifully designed. The heavy crowds made it difficult to assess how pleasant it really is, but its open layout overlooking the terminal allows it to benefit from the latter’s excellent architecture.
Food & Beverage Offering
During our visit, the food offering was set up for breakfast, and the variety was absolutely excellent, with pastries as well as both hot and cold dishes.
Inside the lounge there is also a small Louis Vuitton lounge area with catering by Yannick Alléno. Unfortunately, we did not have time to enjoy it.
Bottom line
A very high-quality lounge, but our short visit and the extreme crowding meant we were unable to make the most of it.
