Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Gate D: Very pleasant surprise

Freshly disembarked from my inbound flight from Taiwan, I’m in a hurry as my flight arrived almost 30 minutes late.

Today’s itinerary

Connection process

My Eva Air flight arrived from Taipei at concourse F, so I have to leave the arrivals circuit to use the connection security checkpoint, which has no priority lane.

No need for a new boarding pass, the one issued in Taipei was enough to convince the security guards to let me through.

A few minutes later I’m back on airside, heading for Concourse D where my flight departs and where several Star Alliance lounges are located.

Location and welcome

I had originally intended to go to the Thai Airways lounge, but on the way I saw the Singapore Airlines lounge and decided to stop there, especially as it was almost deserted.

I don’t know which lounge Swiss sends its Business Class passengers to, but as a Star Alliance Gold passenger, I can access any lounge of one of these airlines on the platform.

The welcome is very cordial and I’m invited in.

Lounge design

The design of the lounge is very classic, but very elegant. Perfect for a short stay.

Catering

The restaurant offer is very comprehensive. Everything looks so appealing! I’ll just take a selection of fruits.

The bar is also well-stocked. I’ll have a glass of champagne.

Bottom line

A great experience, for a short wait.
