That’s it… It’s over! As Jean-Louis Aubert said. Of course, vacations always go by too fast.
So here we are on our way back to our London home.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Check-In and ground experience
36 hours before flight departure, check-in for Finnair flights to Helsinki and London opens. I proceed with our online check-in to our final destination, then download the mobile and PDF boarding passes.
We arrive in 45 minutes at Suvarnabhumi airport from the Peninsula, due to traffic jams at the hotel exit before reaching the highway.
Upon arrival, a Peninsula representative will be waiting for us and will take care of our luggage.
We have to clear some items through customs, the Peninsula representative accompanies us to complete these formalities and then accompanies us to the Finnair counters.
Although the economy class line is very long, there is almost no waiting in the priority line and we are taken care of immediately.
We are given our boarding passes to London and our luggage checked-in to our final destination.
Invitations for the Miracle Lounge have been issued, but we will not be using this lounge today.
After the shift to security and then to immigration priority, we are finally airside.
Location and welcome
The lounge is located on level 3, under the huge Suvarnabhumi Duty Free, near gate D7.
We are warmly welcomed by the flight attendants, and are invited to enter the lounge after checking our boarding passes.
Lounge design
The design of the lounge is quite simple, made of gray and cream leathers and light wood. It has individual dining areas and collective relaxation areas. The atmosphere is quite pleasant.
Catering
The lounge’s food offerings are quite nice. Instead of the rather unappetizing cloches, the dishes are served individually to the passengers on elegant black trays.
The offer of drinks is also qualitative and served at the bar. Excellent experience because everything was delicious.
Bottom line
A pleasant experience to wait less than two hours. Beyond that, it’s a little small.
