Eva Air lounge in Bangkok: design, very modern and pleasant

Continuation of my discovery of the lounges of the airport of Bangkok to pass the time during a little more than 8 hours of connection. My next target is the Eva Airce lounge which will be my very first contact with the airline (as with Air New Zealand in Sydney).

You will find the list of articles related to this trip in Australia at the bottom of the page.

Location of the lounge

It is located in the F pier of the airport, opposite the Air France lounge for those who know it.

Who has access to the lounge?

The lounge is available to silver, gold and diamond passengers in the airline’s Infinity Milleage Land frequent flyer program, all passengers traveling in business or first class on Eva Air or a Star Alliance member airline, and all Star Alliance Gold status holders regardless of class of travel.

It is also available to Eva Air Co-branded American Express cardholders provided they travel on Eva Air.

Lounge design and layout

From the entrance of the lounge it looks very premium with the black front and the dark wood door.

After my eligibility has been checked at the reception desk I enter the lounge itself.

The first thing that strikes you is its design: very modern, black carpet, mobiliser design, quite elaborate light effects with a little fluorescent here and there, lots of glass and mirrors.

A first room has high and low tables, rather to be used for eating. There is also the buffet but we will talk about it later.

A little further on there is a lounging area with comfortable armchairs.

And further on another very large room in a lounging configuration.

IMG_1611

As I said the design is very successful: modern, at times I almost wonder if I am not in a trendy bar or a nightclub.

In fact it looks a lot like a W Hotel!

The corridors will not contradict me.

Yes, in the end you feel more like in a hotel than in a lounge.

Food

The catering offer is wide and of good quality although, in my opinion, inferior to that of the Oman Air lounge.

Various small sandwiches:

Patés and pies:

And a choice of hot dishes: shrimp noodles, beef, rice, soups, dim sum

Overall appetizing and good.

Ah ! There are also ice creams.

IMG_1624

The beverage offer is not left behind.

The whole thing is very good but maybe lacks a little variety.

The offer of alcohol is quite complete except for wine.

IMG_1622

There are also the usual softs.

Facilities

The toilets are also very stylish.

IMG_1628

Japanese toilet lovers will appreciate it.

There are also showers.

Lounge atmosphere

It was pretty empty when I arrived before filling up a bit but I’d say it’s overall quiet and pleasant, which is definitely due to the impression of space.

Bottom line

A really nice lounge whose design is both premium and trendy. Nice catering offer as well.
