American Airlines Domestic First, Boston Logan – Charlotte, Airbus A321: A Pleasure to Arrive Early

After spending about 20 minutes in the lounge, I headed to my boarding gate, which was about a 7-minute walk away.

Boarding

The boarding process begins a few moments after my arrival at the gate, with the boarding of ConciergeKey passengers followed by that of Group 1, of which I am a member. All went without a hitch, and boarding lasted around fifteen minutes for a full aircraft. Quite a performance.

Cabin and welcome

The cabin was the standard setup for Domestic First on American Airlines, featuring 5 rows in a 2-2 configuration with comfortable recliner seats.

The welcome will be excellent and a welcome drink will be offered. I’ll have a café au lait brought in promptly.

Service and catering

The service started a few minutes after take-off. The flight attendant addressed me by name while taking my order, and I decided on a Baileys coffee.

Before being served, the snack basket was offered, and I chose caramel rice cakes—delicious!

My coffee was delivered shortly afterward, with refills offered throughout the flight.

We arrived at the gate nearly 30 minutes ahead of schedule, which was perfect for my connecting flight!
