Today’s itinerary

Boarding

I left the Admirals Club from B gates about 5 minutes before the scheduled boarding time of my flight to Boston.

When I arrived at gate B14, boarding had not yet begun, but did a few moments later.

Group 1 and military personnel were called and I proceeded to the gate to board.

Cabin and welcome

The cabin of these recent A321s is very comfortable in First, with 2-2 recliners and good connectivity.

I sat in a front-row aisle seat for this flight.

The reception was very charming and a welcome drink was offered. I had a Diet Coke.

Boarding ended and the captain welcomed us and gave us a flight time of 1h40 to Boston.

We left on time from the gate.

Service and catering

The service started about 10 minutes after take-off. My drink order was taken first and I chose a coffee-Baileys.

It was served a little late and lukewarm, and shortly afterwards a basket of snacks was passed by. I chose some pistachios with honey.

The flight ended without a hitch.

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrived at the gate on time, I was greeted at disembarkation and quickly transferred to the Silver Line to take me home.

Bottom line

An excellent flight. When operations go smoothly and the crew is charming, everything runs like clockwork!
