Here we are at the final leg of my journey back to Boston.
Flying JetBlue wasn’t originally part of the plan, but with American Airlines canceling my first flight of the return itinerary, I had to book a last-minute one-way flight to Boston, allowing me to arrive at a reasonable time.
Boarding
I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before boarding, just as passengers from the inbound flight were deplaning.
Boarding started on time, with priority passengers first, followed by Group 1, which included me. The boarding staff was courteous.
Cabin and welcome
For most domestic flights under 4 hours, JetBlue doesn’t (yet) offer a First-Class cabin, so it is a full cabin in Economy that is offere in this E190.
Having booked last minute, my fare included seats with extra legroom, and I was seated in row 1.
Each seat is equipped with an entertainment screen, though it’s quite outdated.
While the entertainment selection wasn’t impressive, Embraer aircraft generally offer a comfortable experience, even in Economy.
Service and catering
Service began late due to turbulence during the first part of the flight.
I ordered a latte, provided by Dunkin’ Donuts, along with some cookies, which were quite good.
Nothing fancy, but that’s to be expected in Economy.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrived at the gate about 20 minutes ahead of schedule and quickly disembarked into the terminal.
Bottom line
A very good flight, wrapping up a solid first experience with JetBlue.
