After a good two hours of waiting and eating in the lounge, I head off to board my flight to London as soon as it’s announced on the FIDS.
Boarding
Upon leaving the lounge, I headed to passport control. I used PARAFES in the line reserved for European citizens.
Once this formality was completed, priority boarding was over and I could use the completely empty queue to board directly.
Cabin and welcome
After a few minutes’ patience in the jetbridge, I entered the cabin of this A320. The welcome was courteous and I could quickly settle into my seat, 01F.
The cabin is configured 2-2, with the middle seat neutralized by a handy tray table.
No welcome drink was served.
Service and catering
Service began a few minutes after take-off.
The purser offered an afternoon tea, which I gladly accepted. I nibbled on the sandwiches, which were very good, and a piece of scone.
The pastry, however, was too sweet.
I poured a glass of champagne over the afternoon tea.
The rest of the flight went off without a hitch.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrived at Heathrow gates on time, but off the C gates. Fortunately, buses were already waiting for us and we were soon able to embark on the Heathrow Connections circuit.
Bottom line
An uneventful flight, but without passion. Classic BA.
