After a short long-haul flight from New-York, and while waiting for our room to be ready at our London hotel, we opted for breakfast at the British Airways Arrivals lounge before heading into central London.
Location and welcome
The lounge is located landside in Terminal 5, on the mezzanine floor of the Arrivals area, and is accessible either by elevator or escalator.
The welcome was very standard, and the Concorde card was not given to us despite the presentation of my Gold Guest List card. A real training problem at British Airways.
Nonetheless, I know the way and headed straight with my wife to the Concorde Dining Room.
Lounge design
The British Airways arrivals lounge is decorated in the same tones as the London hub.
The Concorde Dining Room is in the same tones as the Concorde Room on the departures level.
Catering
The dining room menu is exactly the same as that of the Concorde Room. The service was perfect and extremely attentive.
The buffet in the regular part of the lounge was also very appetizing.
I ordered two royal eggs, which were excellent, and my wife ordered the Full English Breakfast.
Bottom Line
A great experience for a gourmet moment before heading to central London.
