Finnair Business lounge, Helsinki Vantaa non-Schengen: Very nice!

Just as we disembarked from our flight from London Heathrow, we arrived at the boarding lounge without any additional security check.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Location and welcome

The Finnair lounge in the non-Schengen area is located near gate 52. The white-on-white tones used by Finnair are elegant but not very easy to spot.

We are greeted with a big smile and a cheerful manner by the attendant at the lounge reception.

Lounge design

The lounge is of very nice size, and almost deserted when we arrived. Normal, since only two Finnair/Oneworld flights are still scheduled at that time, Singapore and Bangkok.

The decoration, although Nordic, is very successful and very qualitative.

Numerous dining and rest areas are available, allowing everyone to find a space that suits them.

Anyway, no problem of overcrowding in this lounge, we will find a space that will suit us.

Catering

The lounge’s catering offer was quite limited when we came. Nevertheless, some hot dishes were still available. The kitchen is located right behind, so I imagine that during the day there must be some preparation activity that is always nice to see.

Self-serve soft drinks and wines are available, and a staffed bar is available, offering champagne, cocktails, liquors and spirits.

Bottom line

A very quiet stay before our flight to Bangkok. The lounge closes at the same time as the flight to Bangkok starts boarding, which is perfect! Can’t wait to try it again when it’s more lively!
