Today’s itinerary

Wat Pho

The temple is located in the northwest of the city. from Sukhumvit, it will take you about 45 minutes by cab or using the Grab app.

It is in the beginning of the afternoon, after a lunch around Sukhumvit, that we arrive at the temple. At the time of our visit, the Chinese tourists had not yet returned to Thailand: this allowed us to enter the temple without any wait, just two minutes the time to buy our tickets.

The entrance ticket for the temple is free for Thai customers, and costs 200 baths for tourists. As in all temples in Thailand, please bring cash, credit cards are never accepted.

The various buildings of the temple are all magnificent but the highlight of the show is the lying Buddha, in a building of nearly twenty meters long, the Buddha occupying the entire building.

It will be difficult to make your way through the tourists who want to take a picture or a selfie, but it is worth it.

Note also that it will be quite difficult to find a cab that accepts to use the meter at the exit of the temple, I invite you to use the Grab application and to take it in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Similarly, it will take us about 40 minutes to reach our hotel.
