Bangkok Airways Economy, Koh Samui – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Airbus A320: an uneventful flight despite overexcited passengers

As we leave the Blue Ribbon lounge at the theoretical boarding time, we arrive in a few seconds at gate 1 of the Koh Samui airport where our flight to Bangkok leaves from.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Boarding

After a few minutes of patience in a civilized atmosphere, the boarding is called starting with the zone 2 of which we are part so we board among the first.

In Koh Samui, the boarding is systematically remote (as well as the disembarkation) with a system of small trains. We boarded the first train and after a few minutes of patience and a short walk along the runway, we reached the plane and boarded.

Cabin and welcome

The welcome is rather warm and we are invited to enter the cabin after checking our boarding passes.

IMG_7948

As on the outbound flight, the Bangkok Airways cabin shows signs of fatigue, worn to the bone. At the price charged, it is indecent.

Nevertheless, the pitch is very good in row 17, much better than the one in row 1 experienced in the first place.

Service and catering

The service starts as soon as the seatbelt sign is switched off.

IMG_7967

As on the outbound flight, a 1/2 tray is served with a small tuna puff pastry (excellent) and a coconut sponge cake (which I am still looking for).

IMG_7969

Very rushed service but not bad for a domestic flight of just over an hour block.

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrive at the gate about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, our gate is located in the international zone, which means that we have to be transferred to the terminal by bus to reach the domestic arrivals.

Given the distance from the gate, we will wait for our luggage for about twenty minutes.

Bottom line

An uneventful flight, with a decent service but very agitated passengers around us.
