As we leave the lounge a few minutes before the theoretical boarding time, we actually return… To the same gate from which we arrived. So, as on the outbound flight, we’ll be using the same aircraft to get to London as the one that flew us to Helsinki from Bangkok.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Boarding
Boarding is delayed due to cleaning that took longer than expected. Annoying, knowing that the plane arrived more than 3 hours before our departure for London.
At H-20, the boarding is finally launched and we enter the aircraft.
Cabin and welcome
Nothing new under the sun, it’s the same cabin as for the three previous Finnair flights that we will have, with a medium-haul equipment this time: poor quality headphones, no blanket, no toilet bag.
No welcome service either, despite a long boarding and a smiling crew.
Service and catering
The service begins with the distribution of a hot oshibori.
Then the breakfast meal trays are distributed. I will choose a milk tea and a blueberry juice to complement my breakfast.
Scrambled eggs will be excellent, as will yogurt with muesli.
Arrival and disembarkation
We will arrive at the gate a few minutes before the scheduled time. The disembarkation will be fast, the clearing of immigration too, and the luggage will already be on the conveyor belt at our arrival.
Nevertheless, despite this apparent fluidity, one of the luggage (mine, Rimowa brand) will be damaged. Big black spot.
Bottom line
An uneventful flight, spoiled by this damaged suitcase.
