The final leg of this itinerary to Boston was this last segment from Miami.
Boarding
I arrived at the gate 5 minutes before the scheduled boarding time, and boarding began slightly ahead of schedule with the usual pre-boarding call for passengers with reduced mobility and AAdvantage ConciergeKey members.
Group 1 boarding followed, which I was part of, so I was quickly on board.
Cabin and welcome
I entered the Domestic First cabin of this A321neo and received a rather cool welcome.
The cabin is configured with 5 rows of recliner seats in a 2-2 layout.
Boarding took quite a while, and only a tray of glasses of water was offered toward the very end of the process.
Before takeoff, the lead flight attendant came through the cabin to confirm or take passengers’ meal orders, and confirmed my omelet. I also ordered a Bailey’s coffee on the side.
Service and catering
Service began slowly once we had reached cruising altitude.
Drinks were served first, followed by the tray around fifteen minutes later.
The omelet was simply delicious, and I finished with the fruit, which was acceptable enough.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrived at the gate on time, and disembarkation took place in an orderly and calm manner.
Bottom line
A very solid flight.
