Boarding
I left the lounge five minutes before the scheduled boarding time. I already knew boarding would be delayed, as the inbound aircraft was running late and was only due to arrive a few minutes after boarding time.
After around twenty minutes of waiting, boarding finally began with passengers with reduced mobility, followed by ConciergeKey passengers, and then Group 1, which I was part of.
The boarding pass scan was courteous, and I was thanked by name.
Cabin and welcome
The welcome at the door was warm, and I stepped into the Domestic First cabin of this Boeing 737-800, configured 2-2 across four rows.
The seat was very comfortable, and both a savory snack and a sweet snack had already been placed on the armrest.
No pre-departure drink was offered.
Service and catering
The service began once the seatbelt sign was switched off.
Orders were taken from front to back, and I ordered a whisky on the rocks.
My drink was served promptly, along with two mini bottles, which was enough for the entire flight.
The flight attendant later came back to take an additional order, and promptly brought me a double Bailey’s on the rocks.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrived in Charlotte slightly ahead of schedule, which allowed me a brief stop in the lounge.
Bottom line
An unremarkable flight, with service delivered without much enthusiasm.
