First flight of my New York itinerary on this uneventful regional flight.
Boarding
I leave the lounge about ten minutes before boarding begins and make my way to gate B10, from which my flight departs this morning.
Boarding of the flight begins right on time, with the American Airlines ConciergeKey passengers being called, followed by Group 1, of which I am a member and will be the first on board.
Cabin and welcome
The welcome is very courteous, and I enter the First cabin of this Embraer 175, configured as a 1-2 with comfortable recliners.
Even with standard, compliant baggage, I could fit it into the racks with some difficulty.
I’m offered a welcome drink, and a latte is promptly brought to me once the coffee is ready.
The boarding process continues at a leisurely pace, and we’re ready to depart 10 minutes ahead of schedule.
Service and catering
Service begins 5 minutes after take-off. I’ll order a coffee-Baileys, which will be brought to me promptly.
A basket of snacks is available, and I’ll choose a cereal bar.
The rest of the flight will pass peacefully.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrive at the gate about fifteen minutes ahead of schedule, and I’m soon in my Uber to Downtown Manhattan.
Bottom line
A solid flight, but no frills.
