After a short passage in the lounge, I go to the gate a few minutes before the theoretical boarding time.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Boarding
When I arrived at the gate, boarding was just beginning and I closed the boarding process for group 1.
The priorities are perfectly respected. I am not being asked for any proof of vaccination or documentation at this point, just for information.
Cabin and welcome
I found the traditional cabin of the new medium-haul aircraft of Iberia, with a rather comfortable seat.
The reception is rather cold, wipes are distributed to me in the front galley.
Service and catering
The service starts a few minutes after the seat-belt signs have been switched off.
A cold meal is served, different from that of the outward journey. And again very good.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrive on time at the gate in Madrid… But there, it is the drama, the gateway breaks down and is blocked a few centimeters from the aircraft.
It will take 30 minutes to bring a catwalk to the rear… And it will eat up all my time in the Dali lounge, which I still won’t visit!
Bottom line
A good flight, but what a catastrophic ground experience in Madrid!
