After a short hour in the lounge, I head to the gate for Madrid a few minutes before the scheduled boarding time.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Boarding
There is some confusion around the boarding gate. After a few minutes, the two boarding agents indicate that the Fast Track line will be at the other end, which forces about 15 passengers to make their way among the other passengers to reach this priority line.
I am the second one to boardthe flight, but I will wait a good fifteen minutes on the bridge until the preparation of the flight is finished.
Cabin and reception
The welcome is rather warm, and I reach my seat 1Fin a few seconds. A disinfectant wipe is distributed to all passengers.
The cabin looks very familiar and for good reason,it is the same seat as British Airways, from the same IAG group.
However, on Iberia, there is no tablet separating the two window and aisle seats.
Service and catering
The service starts a few minutes after take-off.
On this 2h30 flight, there is a complete meal plan, with an appetizer, a hot dish, and a dessert. The catering is proposed here by Do&Co, which is a guarantee of quality.
Two options are offered: either grilled chicken with vegetables or pasta. I will choose the grilled chickenthis time, and will not be disappointed: the vegetables are perfectly cooked, the chicken too, and the potatoes are even turned, which is a guarantee of quality in the restaurant business.
Refills will not be offered systematicallybut will be gladly provided when requested.
Arrival and disembarkation
We will arrive about 15 minutes early at the gate in Madrid. We will arrive in the main terminal, and I will quickly head to my connecting gate.
Bottom line
A very good flight, which lacked some proactivity in the service to be perfect.
