After a good hour in the lounge, I leave 10 minutes before the recalculated boarding time, taking into account the delay.
Boarding
I arrive at the gate while the feeder flight is still disembarking. I’ll have to wait about ten minutes before boarding begins.
Boarding begins with American Airlines ConciergeKey passengers, then Group 1 passengers, including myself, and I’m the first on board. The boarding process is courteous.
Cabin and welcome
I enter the cabin and receive a warm welcome. I settle into my seat, 02C, located in the small Domestic First cabin of this Airbus A319.
It’s configured as a 2-2 with two rows, so there are 8 First seats.
During boarding, I’m offered a welcome drink and I’ll have a Jack Daniels on the rocks, which is promptly brought to me.
Service and catering
Service begins a few minutes after take-off, and I’ll also order a Jack Daniels on the rocks, which will be brought to me with a mixture of nuts and speculos, which will be very good.
The flight ends without a hitch.
Arrival and disembarkation
The flight arrives at the gate some twenty minutes late, with no risk to my connecting flight.
Bottom line
A solid, comfortable flight, but a dispassionate service.
