Purchase and check-in
I book my itinerary to Philadelphia a week before my flight. The cheapest itinerary includes a connection in Washington on the outbound leg, which suits me to maximize the number of TP on the British Airways frequent flyer program.
The day before departure, I check in for my flight to Philadelphia 24 hours before departure. I’ll be able to pick up my Passbook boarding passes easily.
On the morning of departure, I receive two notifications indicating a slight departure delay of about fifteen minutes, nothing to worry about for my connection in any case.
I leave home two hours before the departure of my flight to Washington Reagan, and as usual, I take the Silver Line, which takes about ten minutes from my home to Boston Logan.
Once I arrive at Terminal B, I go up to the check-in area and then directly to the TSA checkpoint, which I pass in about ten minutes due to the somewhat slow passengers.
Location and welcome
The lounge is located at the very beginning of concourse B, adjacent to gate B4.
I entered without difficulty and was greeted politely and promptly, then admitted after my eligibility had been checked.
Lounge design
The design of the lounge hasn’t changed since my last visit.
It is, however, much less busy than usual, as business travel is certainly less frequent than usual due to the bank holiday that week.
I’ll be settling into one of the armchairs near a window to work and have lunch.
Catering
The restaurant offer has been renovated and is of good quality. I’ll be ordering a Whisky on the rocks from the bar and a clam chowder on the side – excellent!
Bottom line
A very good stay at the lounge, once again.
