Continuation and end of our family itinerary for this weekend in the US capital.
After a short stay in the lounge, we make our way to the boarding gate.
Boarding
Boarding begins exactly on schedule, with the announcement for American Airlines ConciergeKey passengers and Zone 1 passengers, including us.
Cabin and welcome
The cabin is that traditionally found in American’s A319 aircraft, namely two rows of First with comfortable recliners.
The welcome is excellent, and welcome drinks are offered during boarding: I choose a café au lait, which is promptly served.
Service and catering
Service begins promptly after take-off, and I order a Bailey’s coffee. A basket of snacks will be brought along and I’ll have a cereal bar.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrive at the gate 25 minutes ahead of schedule and are quickly landed at the baggage carousel. The latter will take about 15 minutes to arrive, and none will be damaged despite our relatively fragile baby cargo.
Bottom line
An excellent flight to round off a rather smooth flying experience.
