I leave the lounge a few minutes before the theoretical boarding time of my flight to Boston.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Boarding
After looking for my gate in the whole concourse, I finally find B15! I arrive shortly after the theoretical boarding time, and the last passengers of the previous flight finish disembarking. Nevertheless, the boarding starts 3 minutes after the theoretical time and I will be the first one on board.
Cabin and welcome
The welcome is warm, the flight attendant will hang my jacket and I will settle in my seat 01A.
The cabin is very comfortable, with Business real recliners.
A welcome drink is offered, and I’ll have a Ginger Ale.
Strangely enough, while boarding, I get a strange call: the American Airlines ConciergeKey service calls me to see if I’m going to catch the flight. I tell her that I am on board, and she is reassured!
I’m glad to see that British Airways Gold Guest List customers are handled by the ConciergeKey service of American Airlines with the in the US!
The boarding is completed in only 10 minutes, and the pushback is done about 10 minutes early.
Taxi will be quite long, about ten minutes will be required before the takeoff.
Service and catering
The service starts about 15 minutes after take-off.
The flight attendant asks me what I would like to drink, I order a Jack Daniels on the Rocks, which is promptly brought to me.
The flight attendant will then bring a tray of nut bags. They will be good, but more choice would have been welcome.
The stewardess will offer me a refill of whisky which I will accept, and the flight will end like this.
Arrival and disembarkation
We arrive at the gate about 15 minutes ahead of schedule, which will give me more time to explore the new Washington Reagan lounge.
Bottom line
A very good flight, uneventful but with the very solid domestic product of American Airlines
