I leave the excellent Soho lounge 10 minutes before the scheduled boarding time for Boston. My flight boards from the second concourse of Terminal 8, which is where most flights operated with smaller aircraft, like mine this evening, depart.
Boarding
Boarding begins on time, with ConciergeKey passengers being called , followed by those in group 1, of which I’m one. I’ll be among the first on board.
Cabin and welcome
There are no surprises in the cabin, which is made up of twelve First seats, configured in a 1-2 configuration, as is the case on all the airline’s Embraer 175s.
I quickly settle into my solo seat, and am offered a welcome drink. I’ll have a Jack on the Rocks, brought to me promptly and with a smile.
Boarding ends 8 minutes after it begins… That would make Air France dream, wouldn’t it? (sorry for the lost ball).
Service and catering
The service starts as soon as the seatbelt sign is switched off.
I continue on my way and order a Jack on the rocks, which is promptly brought to me, but unfortunately not in a real glass.
A basket of junk food will be brought in, and I’ll have pretzels and Biscoffs.
I’m offered a refill, but this time I refuse.
Arrival and disembarkation
Due to a long taxi time at JFK, despite pushing back from the gate 15 minutes early, we will arrive on time at the gate in Boston. I’ll be landside in less than a minute, though I’ll still have about a 10-minute wait for the Silver Line.
Bottom line
A very good flight with smiling service, very good!
