American Airlines Domestic First, Boston Logan – New-York JFK, Embraer 175: Pro but not passionate

I leave the lounge a few minutes before the theoretical boarding time, to go to the gate, which is directly adjacent to the lounge.

Boarding

Boarding begins a few minutes after the theoretical boarding time, with thecall of the American Airlines ConciergeKey members, followed by Group 1, of which I’m a member.

Cabin and welcome

The welcome at the gate is courteous, and I find myself in the traditional 1-2 cabin of American Airlines regional aircraft.

During boarding, I’m offered a welcome drink, and I choose a Jack Daniels on the Rocks. This is promptly brought to me with a big smile.

Notions that in front of me, a family with a baby was taking everything for granted and talking to the cabin crew in a totally inappropriate manner.

I have a baby and I travel regularly with him, but I don’t feel I have a free pass even when traveling in First!

Service and catering

On these short regional routes, the service offered by American Airlines is a drink with a snack in First.

I will order another time a Jack Daniels on the rocks which was generously poured. I will get a bag of chips together with my drink.

Arrival and disembarkation

We’ll arrive at the gate 25 minutes early and I’ll take the Airtrain to Manhattan, combined with a LIRR ticket.
