Gordon Ramsay Kitchen at the Harrah’s, Las Vegas: A very nice surprise lunch

As my conference takes place near the Harrah’s, I decide to escape the infamous conference buffets to have lunch in one of the nearby restaurants, in this case the Gordon Ramsay Kitchen, the latest restaurant of the star chef in Sin City.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

The concept

This is one of the restaurants of the iconic English chef, who has a good dozen in the city of vice. Bistronomy in a way.

The setting

The setting is very elegant. The restaurant is however within the casino with no view to the outside.

The leather and copper combination still works, with marble and dark wood.

The menu

Being there for lunch, the menu is quite short but with some clear markers of the chef, like the Fish & Chips and the Beef Wellington.

The cocktail menu is also interesting.

The meal and the dishes

The service was rather quick, with the order being taken a few minutes after I settled.

I ordered an aperitif cocktail, the Boston Smokey, made with very peaty whisky.

I just ordered a light dish, the beef carpaccio, to leave me room for dessert.

I ordered the chocolate “pot de crème” for dessert, which was very good but I was not hungry anymore.

The service

The service was fast, efficient, and very charming, perfect for a lunch.

The atmosphere

The atmosphere was quite quiet, but I didn’t fully realize I had my AirPods Pro 😂

When I took them off, I found myself in the hubbub of the casino. Nothing too bad, but not necessarily very pleasant for a romantic lunch.

Bottom line

A very good lunch, but not sure I’d want to go back for dinner.
