Family Vacation in Dubai

Today’s itinerary is a bit special, as it covers a long family journey taking us from Boston to Dubai with my 10-month-old son at the time. An adventure, certainly, but also one filled with exceptional memories built with him. A beautiful trip that we will never forget.

Transportation

As for transportation, this was obviously something I planned several months in advance, and I decided to use a large portion of the Avios available in my British Airways account.

Many oneworld airlines have chosen to adopt this transferable “currency,” which can be moved from one loyalty program to another: I used this transfer process to book with Avios earned through British Airways, Iberia, and Vueling via my Qatar Airways Privilege Club account.

In total, I made the booking for 630,000 Avios + $1,292.20 for 2 adults and 1 infant. Yes, it is enormous, but that is the price of peace of mind for such a long itinerary.

Accomodation

As for accommodation, since we were prioritizing sleep above all else, we needed to book suites. I therefore found a Tribute Portfolio property located a little away from Downtown Dubai at a very attractive price, offering beautiful suites for a 19-night stay.

And since we would also be attending a day of free practice at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, we stayed at the city’s EDITION on a points booking, without checking out of our hotel in Dubai.

Itinerary Followed

In conclusion, here’s the itinerary I followed:
