Qatar Airways Business – Qsuite, Doha Hamad International – London Heathrow, Boeing 777-300ER : Once again excellent

As the boarding has already started, I go to gate A1 from where my flight to London Heathrow boards.

Today’s itinerary

Boarding

I arrive at the gate when general boarding has already started, but can access the boarding lounge thanks to the priority queue.

IMG_4963

It is quite slow due to passengers wanting to change seats (some don’t like rear facing Qsuite seats, I love it!).

IMG_4962

Once in the boarding lounge, “real” boarding has begun, and Qsuite passengers are called to board first despite the general boarding already in progress.

IMG_4964

Once at the end of the pier, a specific jetway for Qsuite passengers is available.

Cabin and welcome

As always, the welcome is very warm and I am accompanied to my Qsuite.

IMG_4968

The hard product is always excellent and this time I am in the middle of the cabin, further from the galley.

The setting is always of great quality, with a real toilet bag this time contrary to the first one.

A few minutes after my installation, a welcome drink (Taittinger Rosé) is brought to me with a cold scented oshibori, as requested.

IMG_4982

A word of welcome from the flight attendant and the purser is always appreciated.

Service and catering

The flight attendant will tell me just before the departure that the order will be taken just after the takeoff. Then changes her mind, due to a long taxi, taking my order during the latter.

I will ask for a post-takeoff aperitif, then a service after 3 hours of rest for lunch, request which will obviously be respected.

IMG_4987

I will sleep very deeply in this beautiful Qsuite for 3 hours.

Lunch service

The lunch begins with a rosé champagne aperitif service.

IMG_4988

Then comes the excellent setting, with basket of warm bread, butter and olive oil.

IMG_4991

For the meal, I will choose the Bordeaux, accompanied by sparkling mineral water. This will be filled without interruption during the entire lunch service.

As a first course, a creamy tomato soup is brought to me. Besides the presentation, it’s delicious.

IMG_4993

Then, the cold starter of wagyu beef was very good, even if the tastes were quite simple.

IMG_4995

For the main course, I chose the sautéed seafood, black rice: succulent cooking of the fish and the rice too. Very nice curry sauce that goes perfectly with fish.

IMG_4996

As for the cheese board, I see that the Air France master cheesemaker has moved to Qatar Airways. It was excellent, the Roquefort cheese was well matured as well as the Cantal cheese. The camembert was really good and the goat cheese was very creamy. And the combination with fresh fruit and jam was perfect.

IMG_4998

All this was accompanied by an excellent sweet wine, better than a Sauternes.

To end the meal, I will finish with a berry salad with a rose syrup, superb!

IMG_5002

I’ll finish with a double espresso and a Bailey’s on the rocks.

Before landing, a small box of chocolates and a hot oshibori are distributed before saying goodbye to this superb Business product, “First in Business” as they said at the beginning of the Qsuite.

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrived on time at London Heathrow terminal 4, which I hadn’t set foot in for a few years!

Business classpassengers are prioritized with the curtain closed during disembarkation, immigration will be fast… As long as an officer comes to open the automatic gates…

Bottom line

Another excellent flight, closing a no less excellent first experience on Qatar Airways. We’ll return, and soon!
