TAP Show, Lisbon Portela: Lame, as usual

After a pleasant flight from Paris-Orly, I used the lounge provided for Star Alliance Gold and Business passengers by TAP Air Portugal in Lisbon.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Connection process

The bus took about ten minutes from our parking stand to reach the Schengen disembarkation area. The outside temperature outside is high, but it was a real oven in the terminal.

After taking the escalator, I found myself in the departure lounge.

Location and welcome

The lounge is located on the mezzanine of the main terminal, on the Schengen side. There are only two lounges on the Portuguese platform, and both are located in the Schengen zone: one for TAP, the other for all other airlines.

The welcome was courteous without being warm, and I found a seat in the lounge after scanning my boarding pass.

Lounge design

What can I say… It was a zoo. The lounge was packed like an egg, a real war zone with crying kids and barefoot passengers.

I couldn’t take many pictures.

Catering

The catering offer is very poor, with low-quality products.

Only the bar saved the day, with quality spirits and experienced bartenders.

Bottom line

A shithole. Barely better than the boarding lounge.

Une merde. N’y allez que pour passer le temps.
