SAS Gold lounge, Copenhagen Kastrup : Great decoration but poor catering

After a short stay in Denmark, it is now time to go to Paris with SAS.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Check-In and ground experience

The check-in for my flight to Paris was possible 24 hours before departure. I will proceed to the online formalities via the SAS application, really simple, which will give me my two boarding passes for Oslo and Paris.

The day of the departure, I leave the hotel 2h15 before the departure. What a mistake ! If this time frame is much too short in the big European cities, it is, here, much too long! I will arrive 15 minutes later at the airport and will have to wait a long time before my first flight.

Upon arrival at the airport, a dedicated Fast Track for SAS status and business passengers is available.

Location

The lounge is located just after the SAS Fast Track. Two lounges are available in Copenhagen: the classic SAS Business lounge and the enhanced SAS Gold lounge.

I will scan my boarding pass myself at the gate to enter.

Lounge design

The design of the lounge is very attractive. A Scandinavian decor made of light wood and camel and black leather, and qualitative furniture. The dining area upstairs is more basic.

Catering

The restaurant offer is very very basic. In the morning, no hot offer and low quality cold cuts. I’ll settle for a cappuccino and sparkling water.

Bottom line

A pleasant and stylish place to wait for your flight, less to eat.
