Freshly landed from Chicago in the rain, I go to the American Airlines Admiral’s Club at Concourse C, the latter being the larger of the two offered by the airline in Charlotte.
The lounge is located between Concourse C and D at Charlotte Airport. On arrival, I am met by a charming hostess who checks my eligibility and invites me to enter.
Lounge design
Back in the 90s: the lounge is still in the US Airways juice in which it was designed. Beige and grey shades, grey carpeting, this is a far cry from the new Admiral’s Club design with tiles and light.
Catering
The food and beverage offer has also remained in the fashion of the 90’s lounges, with the famous bagels to toast at breakfast and the carrots and cheeses in plastic. Day and night with the Chicago lounge…
Bottom line
A more pleasant place to wait than the public area. But clearly not the best lounge in the network.
