Today’s itinerary

Location and welcome

The lounge is located at the entrance of Concourse E, on the mezzanine. It has a very elegant entrance, with a staircase and an elevator that lead to the mezzanine.

The welcome is just perfect, and I enter the lounge after presenting my boarding pass and my British Airways Gold Guest List card.

Lounge design

The lounge is the latest addition to American Airlines’ Admiral’s Club. It opened in late 2022 and massively expands the capacity at Washington National.

The design is absolutely stunning, and is more reminiscent of a 5-star hotel than an American Airlines Carrot Club.

It is divided into two parts: a large lounging area, with comfortable armchairs and a fireplace, with different levels of comfort; a dining area with a full bar and buffets for the food.

Everything is very elegant… right down to the bathroom.

Catering

The catering offer is similar to that of the Boston salon visited on the same day, but so much better presented that it makes you hungry! That said, it is no substitute for a meal.

Bottom line

An excellent stay unfortunately too short. I hope to revisit this lounge soon.
