Having arrived at the airport early, I continue my lounge hopping session, a practice that was difficult during COVID due to the large number of closed lounges.
As a reminder, here is the route followed:
Location and welcome
After a quick visit to the Lufthansa lounge located near the A gates, I head to the B gates to access the United lounge.
The B gates are about a 15-minute walk from the A gates, through a tunnel with travellators (but in one direction only).
Once in this satellite, I follow the signs that take me to the lounge, located on the right as I arrive from doors A.
The lounge is then accessible by elevator.
I am greeted rather impersonally, without even a greeting, and I am indicated with the finger the location of the scanner, nice! No doubt about it, we are at United…
Then the same finger pointing to the entrance, I guess my eligibility has been checked…
Lounge design
I must say that I am very pleasantly surprised. I have to admit that one after another, AA and then UA impress me with the design of their lounges.
This one is spacious and bright. The areas are numerous and diversified.
I sit down at a table to nibble a few bites.
Catering
The restaurant offer is extensive. Hot and cold soft drinks are available throughout the lounge, alcoholic drinks are available at the bar. The staff is extremely friendly.
The catering offer is available through a unique buffet located near the entrance of the lounge.
This buffet is quite comprehensive. I would enjoy the scrambled eggs and a sausage.
Bottom line
A rather nice moment. It was quite crowded, but the size of the lounge allows it to absorb a large crowd.
