As part of this weekend in Boston, I will be staying at the hotel my wife is staying at, which is The Langham Boston.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Booking
I had helped my wife plan her business trip to Boston. The Langham Boston being one of the hotels approved by her business in their Self Booking Tool, I immediately recommended this hotel to my wife as it is one of the best hotels in the city and the negotiated rate is excellent.
So here we go for a 9 nights stay for her, 4 for me, in one of the mythical hotels of the city.
Arrival
My wife arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon after her flight from London on Delta in Premium Economy. Despite arriving around 1pm, her room was already ready and she was given a two category upgrade for her long stay. Rare enough to be noted.
Also, a Late check-out at 4pm was granted at no extra cost, perfect because our flights are in the late afternoon.
Room
Our room was located on the 4th floor of the property.
The entrance leads directly to the room. On the left, a large closet allows you to unpack your clothes and settle in quietly for a long stay.
On the right, the bathroom, very elegantly decorated with quality faucets and very elegant marble plates.
The shower will be hot and powerful, which will be a real plus point.
The room is quite spacious, has a table that can also be used as a desk, and an extremely comfortable king size bed.
Finally, the video tour:
Hotel facilities
The property has just completed its renovation. Thus, some facilities are not finished, such as the fitness room or the spa and pool.
I will, however, use the temporary fitness room twice when my wife is working.
Catering
Catering is provided in the hotel through two properties, the Bar Fed (where lunch and dinner are also served) and the Grana restaurant where breakfast and brunch are served.
I imagine that this situation is temporary and that eventually a full restaurant will also operate in the evening.
Moreover, the Room Service menu is more extensive and foreshadows that of the future restaurant.
Grana Restaurant – Breakfast Service
Breakfast is served at the Grana restaurant. The latter is located on the second floor of the property, and is accessible via a majestic staircase.
The room is quite impressive and reminds the banking history of this building.
As in a growing number of hotels, it is now an à la carte menu and not a buffet that is proposed… And it is in any case more qualitative.
On the first day we will choose sweet items, pancakes and French toast, and on the second day savory omelets.
Excellent service, and everything was very good. Special mention to the lobster omelet.
Note that on Sundays, due to the brunch, breakfast is served at the bar.
Room Service
For our last evening, we will order a meal to share at the room service. The truffle & lobster mac and cheese will be good but not very truffled or lobstered.
Dinner at the bar
The cookies will be a little dry. Shame.
Departure
We will benefit from a late check-out at no extra cost, until 4pm. An appreciable gesture that allows you to leave without the hassle of storing your luggage.
Bottom line
An excellent stay, with a perfect room and service. What more could one ask for?
