For our wedding anniversary, I had asked the hotel to make a reservation at La Buena Barra restaurant, located in the Polanco neighborhood and recommended by the concierge.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
The concept
How to tell, you know the noise level in a nightclub? Add two degrees and you’re there.Imagine screaming during the whole meal and you’re right on target.
The setting
The setting is nevertheless very nice and offers a superb view of the center of Mexico City and its towers.
The menu
The menu is very successful, mixing tradition and modernity but always with a Mexican twist.
The meal and the dishes
We will opt for Mexican options but with a gastronomic twist, in any case always with excellent products.
Soft crab taco:excellent in every way with crispy crab
Beef and cheese taco: pretty good and well balanced
Pork belly taco:a little heavy but so good
Grilled octopus: excellent cooking.
The service
Despite the nightclub atmosphere, the service is extremely attentive and will be perfect from start to finish.
The atmosphere
How to say. Too much too much.
Bottom line
A very good dinner but the atmosphere was too noisy for us. We will not return.
