Let’s go, let’s go for the adventure… Banga…lore

I hope you’llexcuse my reference to the 80’s with the mythical show “En route to adventure” and its Banga sponsored credits.

In any case, this time it was a business trip to India for one of my clients.

Unfortunately, not the opportunity to do tourism!

Genesis of the itinerary

To reach India from London, the options are numerous. But for Bangalore, the options remain limited in terms of frequency and airlines. My choice is directly positioned on Qatar Airways, airline that I had sent to test for a long time and my Oneworld status to continue to conquer.

From London, Qatar Airways operates many flights per day from London Heathrow and some from Gatwick. The flight I am interested in leaves from Gatwick and allows me to easily connect to Bangalore, as it leaves on Monday morning with an acceptable connection in India.

Unfortunately, a few weeks before departure, I receive an email cancelling the flight from Gatwick. I call and get immediately rebooked on the last evening flight from Heathrow, the day before my departure. Qatar Airways will pay for the hotel in Doha for my transit (even though they will require a PCR test to enter Doha).

As for the hotel, I will book for all at the Ritz-Carlton Bangalore, thanks to my excellent corporate rate. For Doha, it will be the JW Marriott for my part.
