We arrive at Heathrow airport about 3 hours before our departure to Dubai.
Since I booked two award tickets, the limousine transfers are not included in the booking. It is thus with an Uber Lux reserved in advance that we arrive at the terminal 3 of the main London platform.
As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:
Check-in and ground experience
Emirates has its own check-in area and for good reason: with 5 flights per day post-pandemic, it is one of the largest operators on the platform after British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
About ten countersare reserved for Business and First passengers and we are taken care of immediately.
After checking our documents and in particular our negative PCR tests, our luggage is sent to Heathrow, and our boarding passes are given to us.
We are also told that the lounge is located near the (small) door 7, which is often very crowded.
We then head for the security formalities, unfortunately without Fast Track, but nevertheless passed quickly.
Location
The lounge is therefore located near door 7. For an “Outstation” lounge, it’s really big, big enough to handle all the Emirates flights of the day with enough room to not be stuck together, and enjoy the food court without having to move your stuff.
Lounge design
The design of the living room is in theMiddle Eastern style, that is to say in the tones of brown and beige.
It is in line with all the lounges of the airline.
Catering
The restaurant offer is simply excellent.
From appetizers to desserts, everything is appealing. Special mention for the braised beef cheek, the truffle purée and the ravioli.
Note the plethora of alcohols of all kinds available, and the self-service champagne, in this case Moët-et-Chandon.
Conclusion
An excellent outstation lounge, which confirms the excellent recurrence of the airline’s services in the shows.
