Today’s itinerary

Connection circuit and ground route

The connection circuit in Lisbon is very simple , and two directions are open when disembarking from a non-Schengen flight: either passport control then security to take a Schengen flight, or a simple security check for a non-Schengen flight .

I therefore take the second option, knowing that by making this choice, I am depriving myself of the Flagship lounge of the airline , located in the Schengen zone. But I don’t want to go through immigration twice with muddy justifications.

Non-Schengen security will therefore be passed in a flash .

Note that it is nevertheless disappointing that a airline does not offer any alternative for its non-Schengen passengers in its own hub… Even LOT does it !

Boarding

Despite the verification performed at check-in -in in Marrakech , another verification of the PLF is carried out. No need to show your vaccine thanks to the Verified mention.

So I rush to the Premium line and board first … On the bus (again!), when the door is empty and the plane could have been towed…

Big wait in the bus then comes the moment to disembark in front of the plane.

Cabin and reception

The reception is rather cold and I join my seat , the 01F.

IMG_7512

This is a standard medium-haul Europe cabin . However, I find the Pitch low compared to Air France or British Airways for example.

No welcome drinks , but a hydroalcoholic wipe is distributed.

Maybe by wringing them out we’ll make a welcome gnaule?

Service and catering

The service begins about fifteen minutes after arrival on the cruise with the distribution of paper menus.

IMG_7516

Nice attention too often disappeared in medium-haul.

My choice of pre-ordered meal is confirmed to me by the steward.

The platter is then served 10 minutes later.

The prawn starter is particularly successful , with a delicious lobster mayonnaise.

The dish, a beef pie is just absolutely delicious . Regressive, this pie reminds me of an American fast food, Arby’s, which some of you may know. The meat tastes the same, extremely juicy.

The bread was served hot, and the butter excellent.

The dessert, a Portuguese specialty , is also delicious, a real treat.

To close these feasts, a 10-year-old Tawny port, and a chamomile for the old!

IMG_7521

Refills will be offered to me throughout the rest of the flight.

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrive at the contact of terminal 2 at Heathrow. Immigration is totally deserted and I’ll be landside in 20 seconds.

Conclusion

A very pleasant in-flight experience , but the experience on the ground in Lisbon is disastrous, for what is nevertheless the hub of the airline .
