The first leg of this trip started with an early morning visit to the United Club in my hometown.
Check-in and ground experience
I checked in for my flight 24 hours before departure using the United app. I downloaded my boarding passes in Passbook and PDF formats.
I left home around 4 a.m., two hours before my flight, arriving at Boston Logan about 10 minutes later. I headed to TSA security, which took roughly 10 minutes to clear.
Location and welcome
The lounge is located near gate B25, accessible via an elevator that takes you to the mezzanine level.
The staff was welcoming, and I was admitted after confirming my eligibility.
Lounge design
The lounge is elegantly decorated in shades of gray and camel.
There are spacious areas for relaxation and dining, as well as a bar, which hadn’t yet opened during my visit.
Catering
The breakfast offerings were limited but of decent quality. A hot selection included scrambled eggs, potatoes, and green beans, complemented by various toasts, breads, and some lower-quality cold cuts and cheeses.
There was also a small buffet with muffins.
Bottom line
A brief but fairly enjoyable visit.
