To wait for my next flight to Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, I’ll be using the Concorde Room at London Heathrow, which is open to passengers on a long-haul First itinerary, or to Gold Guest List passengers on the British airline’s frequent flyer program.
Connection process
As always, the connecting experience at Heathrow was not very premium for very high-contribution passengers. The route is the same for everyone: disembarkation at the gangway, shuttle and false Fast Track for security checks. For me, it took just over 25 minutes from disembarkation to arrival at the secret entrance to the Concorde Room.
Location
The lounge is located in the Galleries South block of Heathrow Terminal 5. It is accessible either via this small secret entrance to the right of the Fast Track security checkpoint, or via its main entrance opposite that of the Galleries First lounge.
Lounge design
The main design of the lounge remains unchanged, as you can see from my previous reports.
However, a welcome change of furniture has brought a modern touch to the different areas.
I took a seat on the terrace and migrated to the adjoining catering area for lunch.
Catering
This time, I took advantage of the lunch offer at the lounge.
As an aperitif, I had a glass of Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle Champagne, excellent as usual.
For starter, the soup of the day: peas and mint, a delicious English classic.
For the main course, I chose the iconic Concorde Burger, customizable with the addition of cheese and bacon: good but really too much for my small stomach – the fries, on the other hand, were too soft for my taste and not hot enough.
To complement the à la carte offer, a small “English picnic” buffet was set up on the terrace with cold meats and cheeses.
Bottom Line
A very good stay at the lounge, which was full throughout my stay.
