Air New Zealand renews its safety instructions with the Rugby World Cup in mind (and Louis Litt inside…)

Air New Zealand has a long tradition of offbeat safety instructions that not only capture the passenger’s attention but also contribute to the airline’s image, if not in the world, then on the web.

Country of rugby tradition if there is one, the New Zealand airline could not let the occasion of the next world cup (which will take place this autumn in Japan) to make speak about it by renewing its safety instructions. And by doing it on the theme of Rugby…. of course.

For the occasion, Air New Zealand plans to rename itself Air All Blacks and is even advised by a lawyer to carry out the operation well. And this is the icing on the cake since the lawyer in question is none other than Louis Litt from the series Suits, played by the actor Rick Hoffman who makes a significant guest appearance in the video.

Come on…enough talk, let’s look at the result.

A very successful video for my taste. Suits fans will appreciate the cameo of Louis Litt (who has absolutely nothing to do with New Zealand or rugby, we checked) which puts a bit of balm in the heart of the fans of the series which has just started its 9th and last season !

Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) from Suits in the Air New Zealand safety instructions.

As fans of the series whose programmed end we already mourn, we would have liked an appearance of Donna (Sarah Rafferty) in the board member or as a flight attendant.

Come on, if an airline, by the end of the year, makes a Safety video with Harvey and Mike in the cockpit, Louis as the chief of cabin and Donna as flight attendant (or totally reversing the roles, that would be funny) we promise to promote it ! But that’s not the point here.

In 2011, Air New Zealand had already put rugby in the spotlight in its safety instructions.

Meanwhile all this does not return me my beloved Rico.
