For the start of this itinerary to Boston, I spent a few hours in the Centurion Lounge at West Palm Beach before my flight to Charlotte.
Check-in and ground experience
I checked in for my flights to Boston through the American Airlines app and retrieved my boarding passes in both Passbook and PDF format.
On the day of departure, I was dropped off at the departure terminal a little over two hours before my first flight. I printed my paper boarding passes at a self-service kiosk.
I then used the Clear Plus lane, which allowed me to clear security in under three minutes.
Location and Welcome
The lounge is located at the entrance to Concourse B. The welcome was warm, and I was admitted after my eligibility was verified (boarding pass + American Express Platinum Card).
Design
The lounge is fairly small and was quite full when I arrived. It does not have any tables, only lounge seating areas. The décor is very successful, with tones that evoke the ocean. I settled into an armchair to enjoy a few drinks and work for about two hours before boarding.
Food & Beverage Offering
The food offering was surprisingly high-quality, with both hot and cold options, as well as a few dessert trays.
I happily settled for the mac and cheese.
Bottom line
A very pleasant stay with flawless service.
