Today’s itinerary

Boarding

As boarding is announced, we use the Group 1 boarding line that will enter the gateway first.

We are among the first to enter the bridge connected to the aircraft.

Cabin and welcome

We are warmly welcomed by the flight attendant in charge of the First Class cabin, who will be adorable during the whole trip and with whom I will exchange some good addresses for her next layover in Paris.

Unlike the outbound flight, this is the new First Suites cabin, installed on recently retrofitted aircraft.

The cabin trim has been slightly revised to be modernized.

IMG_2820

Unlike its older sister, this cabin is equipped with sliding doors for extra privacy.

Quickly, a glass of Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle champagne and hot nuts are brought to me.

Yours truly, delighted to be in this superb First Class cabin.

The noise-cancelling headphones are of very poor quality.

More embarrassing, while this cabin is less than a year old, the door of the locker room will remain open during the entire flight, despite the shatterton installed by the flight attendant who will do her best.

Service and catering

Before take-off, the menus for the feast are distributed.

Even on this very short flight, breakfast is offered.

IMG_2811

The beverage, wine and spirits list is of excellent quality, although the spirits lack a little variety.

First service – dinner

The first service begins with an aperitif, accompanied by canapés. The chorizo was very good, at the right temperature, the artichokes were crispy as it should be and the manchego matured to perfection.

IMG_2817

The table is then set for the rest of the meal.

IMG_2818

The ravioli were excellent although a little overcooked, and the bread not stale and slightly warm. Note that I will continue with the Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle during the rest of the meal.

IMG_2819

Finally, I will finish with the cheesecake, a killer, with a mint tea and a Bailey’s to close these light agapes that complement the meal taken in the lounge

Second Service – Breakfast

After a good night’s sleep of 4 hours, I wake up about 1 hour before landing thanks to the smell of the breakfast prepared in the nearby galley.

I order the pancakes, which will be rather good, with some pastries which will be excellent!

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrive at Concourse B and after a short trip in the automatic train and a deserted immigration, we arrive at the baggage claim. The wait will be short and our luggage arrived among the first.

Bottom line

A very good flight, but especially an excellent service.
