LOT Business, Warsaw Chopin – London Heathrow, Boeing 737 MAX 8: top-quality catering

Continuation and end of this itinerary from Budapest back to London, with this last flight from Warsaw to Heathrow.

After spending a few minutes in the Mazurek lounge, I head for the boarding gate a few minutes after the theoretical boarding time, even though boarding hasn’t yet begun.

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Boarding

Boarding begins a good quarter of an hour after the theoretical time indicated on my boarding pass.

Immediate boarding for London

Priorities are respected, and I’ll be the first on board, once all the documents I need to enter the UK have been checked.

The Holy Grail?

It’s all very cordial, despite the lack of priority signage – everything will be done by voice.

Cabin and welcome

As on the outbound flight, I’m back in the brand-new cabin of the Boeing 737 MAX 8, with its very pleasant smell.

I settle into seat 1A, which will be my seat for the entire flight.

A lot of LOT aircraft parked at the terminal, of course.

Here too, the bulkhead has the logo.

No special welcome service, just this beautiful new cabin, with the middle seat blocked.

Service and catering

Service starts when the seatbelt sign is switched off. An initial aperitif is served with snacks and drinks. I choose to drink a vodka and tonic as an aperitif.

An aperitif service is proposed

Then, a full platter is distributed with starter, main course and dessert. As a hot dish, I’ll be choosing the meat, which here is a veal steak, served with a gratin dauphinois and a few vegetables.

Superb meals served on this Business class flight to London

It was all extremely good, and the dessert, a sort of tiramisu mousse, was perfect too.

Excellent catering.

Arrival and disembarkation

The rest of the flight went smoothly, and we arrived at London Heathrow some twenty minutes behind schedule, due to thunderstorms on departure from Warsaw.

I’ll be spending a lot of time at immigration, with a pretty thorough check, but that’ll be the last time!

Bottom line

Another great flight from LOT, with a hard-working crew and faultless catering. Perfect!
