As my conference call goes on and on, I decide to go to the departure lounge while my call ends.

Today’s itinerary

Boarding

Today, the LOT flight boards from gate D54, which is located below the lounge.

I arrive at the gate when boarding has already started and priority boarding is ending.

IMG_4099

I boarded directly in the priority lane and entered the slightly crowded jetway.

Cabin and reception

I enter the 737 after a few minutes in an overheated jetway. The reception is very good and I settle in my seat, the 01F.

As the boarding is coming to an end, a welcome drink is distributed and I choose an orange juice.

The purser notices my jacket on the adjoining seat and offers me a checkroom service.

Then, just before departure, a little Star Goldish greeting was given.

My neighbor has his feet on the bulkhead, very classy!

Service and catering

A few minutes after takeoff, the purser comes to place the tablecloths on the tiny tablet.

A service of aperitif is proposed, and I will take a vodka tonic on ice and lemon slice. In addition, I am offered a sparkling water and a salty mix.

IMG_4120

The service, very attentive, continues with a second round of vodka tonic concomitant with the distribution of the trays.

The menu is distributed on this occasion, and I will choose the beef cheek.

As a starter, the salad, very fresh, is excellent.

IMG_4123

For the main course, the beef cheek, which is a sure value, is also excellent and does not bathe too much in the sauce.

The dessert, a pomegranate cheesecake is very good.

IMG_4124

Finally, real filter coffee with real milk is served, I’m surprised by all these little attentions!

IMG_4125

I would have a Cognac as a digestif with chocolate wafer, then a second round.

IMG_4131

Honestly, you could end up drunk with the “single or double” question on every glass.

IMG_4111

The purser never stops, her service is fantastic.

Finally, a refill of wafer, then a proposal for another refill of cognac, one can really end up drunk!

IMG_4128

The purser passes every 10 minutes in the cabin to offer refills!

We arrive on time in false contact at the terminal in Warsaw.

A shuttle for business class passengers is available.

Bottom line

An excellent flight, too bad for the very limited width of the seat.
