Today’s itinerary

After the bus ride on the tarmac of Frankfurt airport, I am dropped off at the Schengen arrivals at gate B.

Connection circuit

I head towards gate A from where my next flight to Paris leaves, following the indications… And I find myself in the public zone!

I’ve never experienced this situation before and I’m pretty pissed off that I have to go through the security checks again in Frankfurt!

Lounge

I have already reviewed the outward journey very recently. Nevertheless, this day, I have to wait a good 15 minutes before entering the lounge… Because it has exceeded its capacity! Incredible.

Waiting line at the Senator lounge in Frankfurt (“Gates A”, the only one open)

The catering will be as bad as on the outward journey, and this time, the staff asks us to continue wearing the masks even when seated.

I will spend a little over two hours in this lounge, which will be very busy.

Boarding

I arrive at the gate a few minutes before the start of boarding, which begins with the (many) families with babies, then the passengers of groups 1, 2 and 3.

Not all gantries will be used to avoid congestion
The bridge is removed about 20 minutes late

We will wait more than 20 minutes before leaving.

Cloudy take-off from Frankfurt

Cabin and reception

The welcome is a bit cold. Many forms (3) are distributed to me… I am surprised because I thought that the movement was now free in the Schengen area.

Again, stupid forms!

I head to my seat 01A.

The pitch of the seat 01A. The adjoining seats are blocked on Lufthansa

The pitch is pretty good.

Many interesting aircraft are parked on the tarmac in Frankfurt

Service and catering

The service is polite, without more, the tray served upside down, a little “thrown” on the tray table.

I’ll have sparkling water with the meal, which was very good.

Despite the slightly inferior service, the meal was of very good quality

No beverage refill.

Arrival and disembarkation

We arrive 15 minutes late at the gate, and all have to return one of the forms to the flight attendant

Strange to disembark at terminal 2A at Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport

The border police will not ask for the two others.

The immigration room, totally empty

Bottom line

A rather average flight in terms of service, but the cabin of the E190 is still very comfortable.

Disembarking at terminal 2A for a Schengen flight is funny!
