Review : Lufthansa Business post-COVID, Munich-Frankfurt, Airbus A320

After another disappointing stay at the lounge, I head to board this domestic flight.

Today’s itinerary

Boarding

Boarding is again messy, and starts 25 minutes before the departure time (which had been delayed by 10 minutes earlier in the morning).

A compact crowd near the boarding gate…

The pre-boarding of the families with babies is done, then directly the zone 3… I have to make my way to the boarding, which is done via a single gate (I imagine to make respect the social distanciation).

Cabin and reception

The Lufthansa A320 cabin is always the same… So this one is no exception.

The reception is courteous and smiling (but with a mask).

The pitch is very good on the first rows of the Lufthansa A320

I take a seat in 2A and will remain without a neighbor during this flight.

Service and catering

The service starts as soon as the altitude of 10,000 feet is reached, due to the short duration of the flight (35 minutes).

It is very courteous and smiling, I am called by my name at every interaction.

Well presented tray but piperade not at all to my taste

I won’t be a fan of the snack, based on peppers which I loathe. The dessert (the same as on the outbound trip) was nevertheless very good, and the chocolates too.

Arrival and disembarkation

This arrival is a mess! We were positioned on a non-Schengen gate, then there was not enough space to put a gangway in gate 1L to disembark the passengers…

Many aircraft stuck on the tarmac at Frankfurt airport

So everyone had to disembark through the back, the Business passengers last of course.

Space is missing on this “fake contact”.

Fortunately, a special bus for business passengers was provided.

Bottom line

A very decent flight, but the messy organization in Frankfurt is starting to get on my nerves.
