For this trip to the other side of the United States, I’ll once again be flying American Airlines to finalize my Gold Guest List status with British Airways for the year 2024.
After my flight from Boston, I was connecting in Philadelphia before my transcontinental flight to Seattle.
Location and welcome
For my connection, I had the choice between several American Airlines lounges and the British Airways lounge, located near gate A14.
Despite reports on FlyerTalk about the non-admissibility of passengers on American Airlines flights, nothing of the sort happened on my visit and I was admitted without a hitch after checking my eligibility.
Lounge design
During my stay at the lounge, I didn’t have to worry about overcrowding.
The decoration is old-fashioned, the furniture worn to the dregs.
Various spaces are available, either with armchairs and coffee tables, or with dining tables.
Toilets are available inside the lounge.
Catering
The lounge had a decent hot and cold buffet.
Bottom line
The lounge staff was absolutely adorable and the experience pleasant. Too bad I could only spend about 15 minutes there before my flight to Seattle started boarding.
