Courtyard by Marriott Roissy Central: an excellent impression confirmed

Having to go to London for a weekend with friends and having a very early flight, I decided to simplify my life by sleeping at Roissy and I chose to return to the Courtyard Roissy Central, which had made an excellent impression on me during a previous stay.

For the record, articles on this trip.

Booking

I booked a standard room on the Marriott app a week before my stay for about 100 euros. There are not many room types available anyway and the hotel has no suites.

I will finally be upgraded to a Deluxe room on the morning of my arrival, which I will see in the application.

Location of the hotel

The hotel is located in the hotel zone between T1 and T2, which is perfect for me as I am starting from T1. It is a few minutes walk from the CDGVal “Parking Px” station which allows you to reach the T1 very quickly.

It is not far from the Moxy CDG which we often frequent and is in the same building as the Residence Inn which Olivier hated.

Please note: we are talking about the Courtyard by Marriott Roissy Central! Not to be confused with the Courtyard by Marriott Roissy which is very pretty but located at the end of the world in Mesnil-Amelot.

Arrival at the hotel and check-in

I arrive at the hotel by taxi in the middle of the evening and go to the reception.

The welcome is really good, this time a real recognition of my status in the loyalty programme and they confirm my upgrade.

I am told that the restaurant closes at 10pm. It is 9.50 pm. I ask if I have time to go and put my suitcase in the room and the receptionist tells me to go straight to the restaurant and that he will keep my suitcase until then.

Thank you Enzo (if I remember the name correctly) for this great welcome!

The Deluxe Room

It is exactly the same as during my previous stay.

The room is quite large and tastefully decorated. Pleasant, comfortable, warm.

There is a good-sized desk, which I appreciate and which is rare.

IMG_4009

The bathroom is modest in size, a little spartan but pleasant.

A welcome service awaits me with a short note.

There is also a kettle, tea and coffee. There is only one bottle of water in the fridge which I will drink. It will be charged, it’s a bit stingy as there was no bottle offered in the room.

All in all a very pleasant room, especially for an airport hotel where you are just passing through.

Catering

This time I will have time to try the hotel restaurant but for people in a hurry and outside of its opening hours there is a cold/heatable snack offer which is also available.

I am immediately taken care of and seated at my table. The restaurant is well stocked (normal, it is shared with the Residence Inn next door) and the setting is quite warm.

And here is the menu.

The welcome is very warm, I joke with the waitress, the first impression is really excellent.

I’ll start with the mushroom soup with perfect egg.

IMG_4003

The presentation is beautiful and the dish very good.

Then the risotto with gambas, shellfish bisque.

IMG_4004
The prawns are excellent but the rice is a bit heavy.

An excellent meal, well presented dishes and, once again, very pleasant and friendly service. The only complaint is that the wait between courses is a bit long.

There is also a bar that I have not yet had the opportunity to try.

Facilities

The hotel has a gym, which is also shared with the Residence Inn.

It is, like the hotel, brand new but its size and equipment are limited and I fear that at peak times when it has to accommodate the clientele of two hotels it will be unliveable.

Staff and service

Very warm and pleasant.

Check-out

I will check out on the Marriott app when I leave my room. Simple and fast.

Bottom line

A stay that confirms the good impression that this hotel had made on me previously. I will definitely return.
