Morgan Freeman advertises Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines has a long tradition of using celebrities in its advertising videos, and the latest one is no exception, featuring the collaboration of Morgan Freeman. It was broadcast on on the occasion of the latest Super Bowl and is called “Pangea“(you’ll soon understand why).

What can we learn from it?

This is not an endorsement of the Turkish Airlines product and service, but rather a reference to the fact that Turkish Airlines serves more countries than any other airline.

Indeed, the cabin is not even the latest version of Turkish Airlines’ business class, but the old one which, while offering excellent service, is no longer really up to market standards.

But it doesn’t matter. Everything fades away behind Morgan Freeman’s humanist message, reminding us that there was a time when all continents were one, and all peoples by definition lived on the same continent.

The rest weighs little against his words, and the airline’s message is cleverly understated at the end.

Tasteful and well thought-out.
